🎉 Happy New Year from the IAASB! 🎉 Our Chair, Tom Seidenstein, shares a look ahead in this new article: The IAASB in 2025: A Look Ahead. 2024 was a landmark year, with milestones like the approval of ISA 570 (Revised), Going Concern and ISSA 5000, General Requirements for Sustainability Assurance Engagements. So, what’s next for 2025? In the article, Tom explains how we are focusing on three key areas, guided by our strategy, Elevating Trust in Audit and Assurance. The three areas are: 1️⃣ Finishing what we’ve started: Completing major projects on fraud and listed and public interest entities. 2️⃣ Support high-quality implementation: Providing resources to help our stakeholders implement new standards, including sustainability-related standards. 3️⃣ Increase our focus on technology: While technology is not the sole driver, we will have a dedicated focus on technology over the next three years. Stakeholder engagement remains at the heart of our mission, so stay tuned for updates and opportunities to contribute.
